Also...

... the bathroom is scheduled to be plastered while we're away. Dave likes to give random strangers access to our house while we're away - the fact that we've used this plasterer before apparantly means he *isn't* a stranger at all.

Silly Maria.

And then... on Wednesday, the tiling will start!! Yay!

Hopefully by NEXT weekend, we will have a fully functioning bathroom with shower and flushing toilet! And it will only have taken 6 months.

We may have a party once we have a 'usable' bathroom. We may have a couple of parties actually, because there are groups of friends that don't really know each other, and actually won't have much in common.

One of them may even be a 'garden' party.

Not the nice "Pimms and cucumber sandwiches" type of garden party, but more like the "bring-your pickaxe-'cause-you're-going-to-be-helping-us-to-dig-up-the-nasty-concrete-drive-and-patio-in-return-for-lots-of-beer-and-curry" type of party.

We've just got to figure out how to write that on the invitations...

I'm being a good girl...

... for a change.

This is the new 'healthy' Maria.

I've brought a selection of 'soft drinks' into work, including water, cordial and the ever present Diet, Caffeine Free Coke (I know, I know) - but it *is* an improvement.

The nasty fungal infection in my mouth is on the wain, which is a good job, cause I've just taken the last of the tablets. (Fingers crossed it doesn't return)

Dave and I are supposed to be going camping in Harlech on Friday (coming home on Tuesday), but the weather is looking pretty grim. We will still go, but we may not stay for the full five days if the weather is really bad, but come home and mope about the house instead.

Bear in mind that we will be CAMPING.

In a tent.

In the rain.

In North Wales.

And we can't wait!

Cow Parade...

DANGER MOOSE

'im indoors and I went to Manchester Wagamama on Friday night, with Steven and Claire, as much as I love Wagamama, I was more excited about seeing some of the Cow Parade Cows.

We saw about twenty on the way from Picadilly Station to The Triangle, and I was super excited at each one, I think it became a bit contagious. I also think the excitement was a little too much for Steven.

'im indoors and I will have to plan another expedition, when we'll try to see all of the cows and take photos of each, I must remember to take a paper bag with me, cause I may just start to hyperventilate!!

It was an ACCIDENT...

Whilst shopping yesterday with Zelda and my brother, I spotted 'Evil Co-slave' and his wife, and thought I'd play a jolly prank on him.

The plan:

To sneak up behind him, and nudge him in the back of the legs with my trolley, and wait for his reaction.

What actually happened:

I sneaked up behind him, nudged the trolley towards him and smashed into his achilles tendon, flooring the poor fella in the middle of Asda. He was looking up at me, tears in his eyes, ready to swear. Alot. But, he managed to bite his tongue when he saw it was me rather than a random stranger.

I got a smack across the back of the head from Zelda. I kid you not. 35 years old, and my mother still smacks me. Evil Co-slave's wife nearly chinned me though, so I should count myself lucky.

He's not in work yet, he usually is by now - I hope he doesn't phone in sick, cause I'll have to explain to our manager that he's off because I assaulted him.

How nice is this?...

... I've just received a snowglobe from Tenerife, off one of my Starsailor buddies.

It's a cute little turtle critter. Made me giggle at it's cuteness. Me likey!!

That makes 70 snowglobes all together in work now, with a couple more at home.

Photos from the BBQ...

Just two little photos from the BBQ on Sunday.

The first is of 'im indoors, looking particularly cool.

And the second is of Steven, looking particularly 'special'.

Tee hee.

Next tattoo?...

I think I've finally decided on what my next tattoo will be.

A smallish one - on the top of my left foot.

It's got a dubious backstory, but stil...

I was watching Jonathon Ross on Friday, he had Janet Jackson on as a guest, and she said she had a tattoo on her wrist, which was a South African symbol, basically denoting 'you have to put your past behind you, before enjoying your future.'

I wrote 'Janet Jackson Tattoo' on a piece of paper (I was quite drunk) so that I would remember to check the internet the next day, and this is what I found:-

Hev and Mark's Wedding ...

My old school friend, Heather and a new friend, Mark got married on Saturday. And we tagged along for the ride. :o)

H looked GORGEOUS in her dress, and Mark looked quite slim and dapper in his suit. Dave looked luverly in his suit (I'll post a piccie when I get home).

Mark sent me a photo last night of 'the girls', which I thought I'd share here, if only for the fact that I am wearing a dress. (Left to righ: Anita, Karen, Heather, Me.)

H + Mark called round to our house last night, with a pressie for us, (cause Dave video'd the wedding for them). They know us well. It was goodies to make Margerittas!!

Yay!

We'll be sampling THAT at the weekend.
