How exciting!...

It's 14:19 now, and I've been home for about an hour. After being in the Police Station since 12:30.

I was leaving my brother's house, when a HUGE Lexus 4x4 reversed into me, smashing the front end of my car to smytherines. I was not a happy bunny, but had the foresight to stay calm and ask to exchange details with the Tazmanian Devil woman that was spitting and swearing at me.

Her husband (?) wrote down his name and a phone number and told me to call him 'later'. I responded by handing him my name and address and asking for HER details (I couldn't for the life of me remember who I was insured with, otherwise I would have just given them my name and insurance company... I hope that doesn't end up being a bad mistake).

She effed and jeffed some more, told him to 'f*cking give her my address, I don't f*cking care, this is a f*cking company car.' And she got back into her car, STILL shouting at me, telling me I wasn't looking where I was going, this despite the fact that my car hadn't actually moved... I got a bit heated and said 'You obviously weren't looking where YOU were going you dozy cow.' At which point she jumped back out of her car, and kicked the crap out of me.

My brother and her husband had to pull her off me - with a chunk of my hair still in her hand... I tried to phone the police while she was driving away, so that I could give them her registration details, but I wrote the number down wrong.

My brother took me to the Police station, round the corner from his house - they took some details, left me waiting for half an hour in an interview room, then took the same details again, only to tell me that they weren't going to press charges against her, because it was only 'common assualt', not ABH or GBH.

Great.

I can try and take a private prosecution out against her, but it would cost alot of money, and quite frankly isn't worth the agro.

I've had to get the insurance to take my car away, as I am unable to drive it, she's messed it up that much... she'll probably deny all liability. So, I'll be walking to work this week, until my courtesy car arrives, and my insurance premiums are going to go through the roof, because of some bad tempered, chav witch.

I'm actually relatively calm now, though I have locked all of the doors of the house. I was shivering and my teeth were chattering before. I've got a cut on my face, and a couple of grazes on my shins, were she kicked me - and a lump on my head where she yanked a chunk of hair out. My brother said that he was shocked that I didn't 'give it to her'. But, quite honestly, she scared the crap out of me... all I was worried about was her breaking my glasses. She didn't, but she did kill my rather fetching shoulder bag.

I can't wait till Dave comes home at 18:30, I need some cuddles.
